  • Your BV Can See Its Tax Bill. Is the Cash Ready?

Corporate tax assessments are easier to see, but the screen does not reserve cash. Connect your BV's tax estimate, provision, assessment, and bank balance.

Dutch corporate income tax assessments now appear in Overzicht betalen en ontvangen. The overview lists provisional, final, and additional assessments. Paid assessments remain visible for up to two years. Corporate tax refunds do not appear in the overview.

    Why this matters

An assessment requires company cash. The tax provision in your accounts remains an estimate. Amounts can differ when profit changes, customer invoices remain unpaid, or costs arrive late. The assessment may then compete with payroll, VAT, supplier bills, and loan payments. The screen makes the amount easier to find. It does not check the calculation or reserve cash. Your ledger, tax file, assessment, and bank balance still need to match.

    Example

An installation BV finishes a profitable project and records the result. Its customer has not paid the final invoice. Payroll and supplier bills fall due first. An older profit estimate still supports the provisional assessment. The BV can see the tax bill, but its bank balance cannot cover every payment at once. A current forecast shows whether the assessment needs changing and how much cash must remain available. That can keep the next wage run on track.

    XTROVERSO tips

    • Compare the four numbers. Put the latest profit forecast, tax estimate, ledger provision, and open assessment together. Record each difference and find its cause.
    • Check whether the estimate is stale. Review major contracts, asset sales, losses, group transactions, and cost changes. A 2026 provisional assessment can be requested or changed through the available business tax channels.
    • Add tax to the cash plan. Put the due amount beside payroll, VAT, supplier bills, debt payments, and expected customer receipts. Do this before approving payment.
    • Check the payment details. Use the payment reference from the official assessment. Check saved beneficiary details, especially after the corporate tax bank account changed on May 1, 2026.
    • Keep checking and payment separate. Where possible, one person checks the assessment and another approves the bank payment. Keep the assessment, payment reference, bank confirmation, and tax note in one file.
    • Allow for processing time. An eligible full payment of no more than €50,000 may be made through iDEAL | Wero. It can take up to 48 hours to appear as paid.
