Paolo, you often encourage people to trust their intuition, calling it one of the most underrated assets. Can you explain why you believe this is so important?

Intuition—that subtle, gut-level knowing that defies data, logic, and the spreadsheet mentality that dominates our world. I talk about intuition as the most underrated value because, let's face it, we live in a society that worships at the altar of rationality. We’re conditioned to believe that every decision needs to be backed up by facts, that success only comes from perfectly laid-out plans and strategies carved from analysis.
But here’s the truth: intuition is your inner genius. It’s that whisper of insight that comes from a place beyond reason, from the depths of experiences you don’t even consciously remember, from connections your brain has made in ways you can’t quite explain. It’s the wisdom of your subconscious, a synthesis of everything you’ve seen, felt, and absorbed in your life, firing off a signal that cuts through the noise and says, Pay attention. This matters.
When I urge people to believe in their intuition, I’m talking about trusting that inner compass, that raw, unpolished feeling that tells you which way to turn even when the map says something different. It’s about honoring that spark of inspiration, that gut feeling that says, This is the right move, or Something’s off here. We undervalue intuition because it doesn’t fit into neat boxes; it can’t be quantified or neatly presented in a PowerPoint slide. And yet, it’s responsible for some of the most groundbreaking decisions and innovations in history.
Think about it: every visionary, every game-changer, every person who’s broken the mold and done something extraordinary—they all had to listen to that inner voice, that pull that couldn’t be logically justified. Steve Jobs once said that intuition is "more powerful than intellect." Why? Because intellect is based on what you already know, but intuition is your connection to the unknown, to the future you’re trying to create.
Intuition is not some woo-woo, out-there concept. It’s deeply practical, if you have the courage to listen. It tells you when to walk away from a deal that looks good on paper but feels off in your bones. It nudges you to take a chance on an idea everyone else dismisses. It’s that jolt of creativity that shows up out of nowhere when you’re in the shower or taking a walk, when your mind is free from all the noise.
We all have it. But too many of us ignore it, thinking that if we can’t justify it with numbers or external validation, it must not be worth trusting. And yet, intuition is what allows you to be agile, to pivot when the landscape changes, to sense opportunities and threats before they become obvious. It’s what makes you human—not just a machine crunching data but a living, breathing creator capable of original thought.
When you learn to believe in your intuition, to give it space and respect, you start living more authentically. Your decisions become more aligned with who you really are, not who you think you’re supposed to be. And yes, it’s risky. Intuition doesn’t come with guarantees. But the magic lies in that risk, in trusting yourself enough to follow that feeling, that spark, and seeing where it leads.
So, I say to everyone: listen. When your gut tells you to leap or to hold back, tune in. Don’t let the noise of the world drown out your inner wisdom. Because that wisdom? It’s the most underrated value we have, and when we embrace it, we become unstoppable.
